UNHCR - The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees was established on December 14, 1950 by the United Nations General Assembly. The agency is mandated to lead and co-ordinate international action to protect refugees and resolve refugee problems worldwide. Its primary purpose is to safeguard the rights and well-being of refugees. It strives to ensure that everyone can exercise the right to seek asylum and find safe refuge in another State, with the option to return home voluntarily, integrate locally or to resettle in a third country. It also has a mandate to help stateless people.
In more than five decades, the agency has helped tens of millions of people restart their lives. Today, a staff of some 6,600 people in more than 110 countries continues to help about 34 million persons.

Register 4 - An initiative of the National Breast Cancer Foundation
Register4, the National Women's Research Register, is Australia’s first online community for volunteer breast cancer research participants. By joining you could help researchers spend less time finding volunteers and more time to find a cure.
We’re looking for all kinds of individuals from all different walks of life (you don’t have to have had breast cancer). Members of our breast cancer community are aged 18 or over, come from right around Australia, and are predominantly women – though men can join too.
You spend a few minutes signing up as a member, we get in touch if there’s a research project you might be suitable for, and it goes from there. The choice is always up to you about the level of participation you’re comfortable with.
